Any power talk that misses this desired common sense misses the boat completely.
People are not even asking for the exercise of public power to be responsive to what liberation had promised. They have long given up on that.
That noble wish is buried in the sand of hopelessness. People in power are yet to regain their hearts of what grieves the afflicted ordinary people. There is no apt response nor a budget from their government to show some emotion.
In their disconsolation, the afflicted ones reckon their government is not theirs. They have sunk to the hopelessness that they are not a priority in the stratified order of things. Consequently, they do not matter to command political weight of significance to be esteemed in the moral hierarchy of human rights that do not hold them as the centre of concern.
The lingering feeling is that their government stands obligated to conventions not known to them. This makes their government’s loss of touch with reality a mystery difficult to decipher. How could their government lose them this way is the haunting question.
For whom their government is governing is the untold agony that hurts their sorrows deep. How could people in power forget so easily not to train their charity to begin at home? So much loftiness directed at far away places not asked why desperate legions abandoned their countries to hunt for fruition in SA?
Being a country that South Africa is, forever in permanent election mode, and unable to muster honest answers, the overriding awkward consideration in this colossal government-illegal-immigration misgovernance, is that it is an election year of local government elections scheduled for November 4, 2026. Beyond that, nothing else matters. Or is there a chance that the aggrieved, this time round, do matter?
The answers are difficult to come by even amongst the country’s citizens themselves. They are rarely seen to be bonded by joint truths to be cemented on patriotism.
Compounding their plight, is that the disconsolate on this illegal migration storm, are seen from high horsed occupations, blood ties, religion – mischievous Christians, unscrupulous Muslims, prosperity churches and chancing ‘men, women and children of god’.
This is compounded by heartless human and child traffickers, soulless profiteers, mindless fraudsters, corruptors and corruptees, within and without the public and private spheres, criminal cartels and drug pushers, building hijackers and extortionists, abusive investors, employers, traders and merchants, bad intentioned academics and inveterate power that has lost perspective of where sovereignty begins and ends.
This is being dished to us in a world vulnerable to unelected private power of globalists that do not care a damn about what the people want and deserve from their respective governments.
Those that scream Pan Africanism have curiously dodged the bullet in their respective homelands by maintaining golden silence where circumstances demanded conscientious highest volume.
The sanctimonious pan Africanist screaming blue murder of South Africa as universal threat to pan African unity should have begun filing the charges where they are rooted and not loud hail about in faraway lands such as South Africa, entered fraudulently by illicit acquisition of required documents.
Strangely, such pan-Africanists draw no lessons from Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah, deposed by a host of imperialist agendas, nor do they show affinity to Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso; General Assimi Goïta of Mali; and General Abdourahamane Tchiani of Niger, as sterling examples for Africa to look up to as the story of the continent to write home about.
The aggrieved people now deemed a nuisance to their government with March and March episodes are asking for nothing more or less than ORDER. Is that a big impossible thing to ask for?
