Isuzu Motors South Africa Announces Key Leadership Appointments to Strengthen Strategic Growth

GQEBERHA – Isuzu Motors South Africa (IMSAf) has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments across its Finance, Corporate Services, and Manufacturing divisions, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to transformation, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.

As a key player in South Africa’s automotive sector, with a strong manufacturing presence in Gqeberha and an expanding footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa, IMSAf remains committed to investing in leadership capability to support future growth in an increasingly dynamic and evolving industry. These appointments reflect the company’s ongoing strategy to strengthen institutional expertise, enhance organisational resilience, and position the business for long-term success through the development of diverse and high-performing leadership talent.

Finance and Business Planning

Greg Wood

Greg Wood has been appointed Department Executive: Finance and Business Planning.

Wood brings more than 20 years of experience within IMSAf, having held leadership roles across Finance, Component Exports, and Procurement since joining the organisation in 2003. His track record includes leading key localisation initiatives and securing strategic investments. In his new role, he will oversee financial strategy and business planning.

Corporate Services

Fundiswa Mahlanyana

Within the Corporate Services division, Fundiswa Mahlanyana and Nandi Matomela have been appointed to critical leadership roles.

Fundiswa Mahlanyana assumes the role of Department Executive: Corporate Planning. Since joining IMSAf in 2004 as a Graduate-in-Training, she has built extensive experience across Finance and Product Planning. She has led several high-impact projects, including the successful launch of the all-new ISUZU D-MAX in 2022 and subsequent product updates in 2025 and 2026. She will now lead Corporate Planning, Research, and Sustainability, supporting the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

Nandi Matomela

Nandi Matomela has been appointed Department Executive: Corporate Affairs. Since joining the company in 2013 as a Graduate-In-Training, she has built an extensive portfolio of experience across Product Communications for South Africa and the Rest of Africa, Marketing, and Brand Strategy. In her new role, she will lead IMSAf’s Corporate Affairs function, with responsibility for strengthening and positioning the Isuzu Motors South Africa corporate brand, safeguarding and enhancing the company’s reputation, and driving strategic corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and corporate social investment initiatives.

Manufacturing

Etienne Venter

Etienne Venter has been appointed Department Executive: Manufacturing.

With 25 years of experience at IMSAf, Venter has held several senior roles across Manufacturing and Engineering. He will oversee Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, and Technical Support, further strengthening the company’s operational capabilities.
