Radisol Global Investments (RGI), the commercialisation arm of Radisol Group, has been appointed by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) and the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) to attract sponsors and investors to the two neighbouring football markets.

The LeFA partnership was announced on 26 August 2026. The PLE programme began on 15 October 2026.

RGI says the mandate goes beyond selling sponsorship. It will help the bodies package and market commercial rights, find new revenue streams and reduce what the company calls excessive reliance on traditional funding. It will also try to connect them with investors and international development partners.

Targeting big-spending sectors

RGI says it is targeting telecommunications, banking and insurance, automotive and transport, mining and energy, beverages, retail, sportswear, media and technology.

Opportunities it lists include competition and club sponsorships, digital platforms, hospitality, broadcasting, brand activation, and youth and women’s football programmes.

In Lesotho, the company says it is also pursuing international cooperation to link LeFA with technical expertise, training and investment. In Eswatini, it says it has begun talks with prospective partners in industrial services, insurance, beverages, sport and technology.

RGI says it will identify opportunities, draft commercial proposals and facilitate negotiations with the football bodies. It also sees room for cross-border deals spanning both countries, while respecting each market’s governance structures.

Who is behind it

RGI is led by Radisol Group founder and executive chairman Sol Motsepe, who began his career in journalism at the Sowetan and City Press. He later worked with or for organisations including Transnet, Telkom, Murray & Roberts, the Royal Bafokeng Administration and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. He also held a senior executive role at BHP Billiton.

At Statistics South Africa, he was a director and headed publicity for the 2001 census campaign. He holds an MBA. Radisol Group’s interests span publishing, property, construction, trade and investment facilitation.

CAPTION: PULENG MAGAPE

Puleng Magape, RGI’s managing director, runs day-to-day operations, including stakeholder engagement, partnership development and commercial proposals. RGI says her focus is on structured, longer-term relationships with clear deliverables rather than once-off sponsorship deals.

The test ahead

RGI acknowledges that sponsors increasingly want accountability, audience data and proof of return. It says success will depend on clearly defined rights, transparent agreements and measurable outcomes.

Football bodies in the region have often struggled to turn match-day attention into sustainable income. For LeFA and the PLE, the appointment is a bet that professional packaging and an outside dealmaker can change that.

Neither the fee structure nor the term of either agreement has been disclosed, and no sponsors have yet been named.
