What do Porsche and Volvo have in common?
No, it’s not that they both have four wheels, an engine — albeit Volvo has more batteries than engines these days — seats… it’s not that.

Klaus Zellmer, who is currently the boss of Škoda — Škoda being part of the VW Group (we don’t get those locally as Škodas) — spent 30 years at VW, with most of that time spent at Porsche.

Well, Volvo has now snatched him up to serve as its next President and CEO.
Volvo says that Zellmer will assume the CEO and President role “no later than 1 October 2027”, promising a “seamless transition” between the two leaders, namely Zellmer and Håkan Samuelsson.

As we mentioned earlier — the Volvo having more batteries statement — Volvo has been moving from ICE to NEV, albeit with some challenges because of slower-than-expected EV uptake.
So, how will Zellmer deal with this?
